Current Hotel Crush: Palihotel, Culver City

We are loving the new Palihotel in Culver City which opened earlier this year to great celebration. As Culver City is in renaissance mode, this cleverly designed and unique boutique luxury hotel in Los Angeles is exactly what was called for to lodge both business travelers and the creative-minded tourist. Whimsically chic and constructed in a renovated 1920’s-era boarding house style, the hotel boasts 49 guest rooms ideal for vacations and staycations alike.

The owners of the Paiihotel Culver City have reimagined this historic building to embody interior design of Los Angeles and a sense of history and the sense of uncovering of a hidden gem.

Recognized as one of the top boutique hotel in Los Angeles, Palihotel offers something for everyone and emphasizes an authentic “neighborhood” experience, which we love seeing as our JAC offices are in the neighborhood!

The Art Deco-style exterior of the hotel was fully restored, and its interiors have been decorated to reflect a modern, urban sensibility with bohemian, art-deco influences. A bar and French bistro-style restaurant called Simonette packs major personality on the ground floor and has fantastic indoor-outdoor appeal.

JAC has pleasantly noticed a dynamic mix of common and private spaces, furniture, objects, lighting and finishes from different eras to reflect a sense of unconventionality and freedom. I am told that each room has unique handpicked art which adds to the curated effect. We are in love with this cool new home away from home locale and how each room has been created with it's own personality.
