High-design for high-elevation living — interiors that work with the topography, not against it.

Interior Designer Hollywood Hills

Designing for the Hills

Hollywood Hills homes demand a different kind of design fluency. The topography shapes everything — narrow canyon roads, split-level floor plans, soaring ceilings with clerestory windows, and the constant pull of the view. At JAC Interiors, we've worked on hillside residences throughout the Hills corridor, and we understand how to make these dramatic settings feel like effortless, livable homes rather than architectural showpieces nobody can relax in.

Whether the home is a mid-century case study perched above Laurel Canyon, a Bird Streets contemporary with floor-to-ceiling glass, or a Spanish villa tucked into Beachwood Canyon, our approach is the same: design around the bones, honor the views, and create spaces that feel curated without feeling precious.

Architecture & Design Character of the Hills

Hollywood Hills is one of LA's most architecturally diverse neighborhoods. You'll find Rudolph Schindler-era experiments alongside 1970s post-and-beam retreats, sleek new construction cantilevered over canyon walls, and classic Spanish Revival homes with original Saltillo tile and arched doorways. Our designers know how to work within — and between — these styles, finding the thread that ties original character to modern comfort.

We pay particular attention to natural light in canyon-facing homes, where the sun moves dramatically throughout the day. Material selection — warm woods, textured stone, matte metals — tends to read better in the shifting light of the Hills than high-polish surfaces that work fine in flat-lot Westside homes.

Why Choose JAC for Your Hollywood Hills Project

We Understand Hillside Logistics

Delivery and installation on steep canyon roads is an art form. We've navigated the tight turns and limited staging areas that come with Hollywood Hills addresses, and we account for these realities in our planning from day one — not as an afterthought when the sofa won't fit around the bend.

Views Are the Feature — We Design Around Them

The best Hollywood Hills interiors treat the cityscape or canyon view as the hero of the room. That means thoughtful furniture placement that doesn't block sightlines, window treatments that modulate light without sacrificing the panorama, and an overall palette that lets the exterior do the talking while the interior holds its own.

Indoor-Outdoor is Non-Negotiable

Terraces, pools, and outdoor living areas are often what drove the purchase decision in the first place. We design interiors that flow naturally into the outdoor spaces — consistent material language, smooth threshold transitions, and furnishings that feel equally at home inside and out.

Neighborhoods & Areas We Serve

We work throughout Hollywood Hills and the surrounding hillside communities, including:

  • Bird Streets (Oriole, Nightingale, Thrasher)
  • Laurel Canyon & Lookout Mountain
  • Beachwood Canyon & Hollywoodland
  • Hollywood Dell & Cahuenga Pass
  • Outpost Estates
  • Runyon Canyon adjacent
  • Nichols Canyon
  • Mt. Olympus

If you're in the hills and unsure whether we cover your address, just reach out — we work throughout the greater Hollywood Hills corridor.

Featured Project: Mulholland Estate

Our Mulholland Estate project captures everything we love about designing in the Hills: dramatic proportions, a strong connection between interior and the canyon view beyond, and a palette built around the warm, hazy LA light that floods the space from sunrise to sunset. We leaned into the architectural scale with custom millwork and statement furniture selections — pieces bold enough to hold their own against the view without competing with it.
