Interior Design in Montana

JAC Interiors has worked on projects beyond our home markets in Los Angeles and South Florida—including mountain retreats and second homes in Montana. These projects come to us through existing clients who want the same design sensibility and process they've experienced in their primary residence applied to a vacation home or investment property.

Working remotely is something we've become skilled at: thorough documentation, clear communication, and a procurement and installation process that doesn't require us to be on site for every decision. The result is a home that feels designed with intention rather than assembled from whatever was available locally.

The Mountain Aesthetic

Mountain homes ask for a specific sensibility—warmth and durability foremost, with materials that feel appropriate to the landscape rather than imported from a coastal showroom. We work with natural stone, rough-sawn wood, wool textiles, and leather in mountain projects, paired with lighting that creates warmth in the long Montana winters. The palette is typically drawn from the landscape itself: deep forest tones, warm neutrals, and the occasional rich accent that holds its own against the view.

At the same time, a luxury second home shouldn't feel like a themed cabin. The best mountain interiors feel grounded and specific to the place without sacrificing the comfort and refinement a JAC client expects.

Working Remotely

Distance projects require more planning and more precise communication—we over- document, develop detailed finish schedules, and work with trusted local contractors where needed for installation. Clients get regular updates, clear schedules, and no surprises on delivery day.
