Pasadena, the second oldest city in california behind LA has a most delicious mediterranean climate and is also known for its enchanting architecture. This city is vast but the downtown area is highly walkable and make sure you swing by City Hall for some eye candy. In the center, Old Pasadena is a shopping and dining district known for its Victorian and art deco buildings. Art, architecture, and a food-filled Old Town, are just the beginning, there’s plenty of Americana here too, including A-frame motels along what was once Route 66!
If you’re looking for some culture check out the Norton Simon Museum and also the Huntington Library. The Caltech campus is also not to be missed. This diverse city is ten miles from downtown LA and is filled with numerous activities for adults and kids; museums, galleries, movies, restaurants, and shopping are abundant in Pasadena.
