Valley Village Interior Design Services

Tucked between Studio City and North Hollywood, Valley Village blends suburban charm with real-deal Los Angeles creative energy. Here, charming 1930s Spanish homes sit alongside newer modern builds. It’s a neighborhood where design has depth and personality—and that’s exactly why JAC Interiors loves working here.

We bring our full-service luxury interior design offerings to Valley Village with authenticity, collaboration, and a little edge. California light defines our aesthetic choices, and in a community like this—where shade trees, family-friendly streets, and a thriving cultural scene mix—we get to dial in environments that feel both stylish and livable.

Founded by Andrea Putman and Timothy Mersman, and powered by our high-touch team (all trained at the Otis School of Arts and Sciences), JAC Interiors specializes in transforming everyday homes into dream-worthy sanctuaries.

Whether we’re working with one of the stunning mid-century ranches off Laurel Canyon or doing a gut-renovation on a 5-bed Spanish Colonial on Magnolia Boulevard, our process stays the same: collaborative, visionary, and ultra-detailed. We treat every space like it’s our own—with that signature JAC touch.

The Valley Village Aesthetic

Valley Village is a compact, walkable pocket of the Valley with genuine architectural character. The 1930s Spanish bungalows along Magnolia and the mid-century ranches off Laurel Canyon have good bones — archways, plaster walls, hardwood floors — that reward a careful hand rather than a full-gut reset. ADU conversions are also common here, and we've designed several that feel like a natural extension of the main house rather than an afterthought.

The neighborhood draws families and creative professionals who want personality in their homes without sacrificing function. That translates to spaces that handle weekday life — homework, cooking, work-from-home — just as well as they handle a Saturday dinner party. Materials lean durable and real: hardwood, stone, custom millwork that will last decades rather than follow a trend.

Designing in Valley Village

Homes Here Tell a Story—We Just Help Clarify the Chapter

From traditional Spanish bungalow details like archways and plaster walls to sleek ADU conversions, we know these Valley Village styles intimately. We're not here to overwrite good bones—we enhance them.

Expertise for Family-Living with Style

Valley Village is filled with families that want form and function. We blend effortless style with kid-friendly materials, pet-friendly layouts, and reimagined zones that support everything from work-from-home to after-school chaos.

We Know How LA Lives

We understand the pace of Los Angeles, and we work closely with seasoned local contractors, cabinet makers, and tradespeople who get things done right—and on your timeline.

Climate-Savvy Choices

From sun-faded wood floors to thermal comfort in the hot months, Valley Village homes present specific design challenges due to our Southern California climate. We integrate material choices that last, reduce energy consumption, and keep your home cool and collected year-round.

Spaces That Reflect Who You Are

We don’t push a design style. Whether your vibe leans minimalist, boho, glam, or transitional Cali-modern, we embrace your perspective and build a space that reflects you—and your neighborhood.

Local Resources & Collaborators We Love

When you're designing in Valley Village, you benefit from being a stone’s throw from the best Los Angeles has to offer. We often frequent:

  • Arteriors on Melrose: We always say even if you're not shopping for lighting, the showroom is still worth the visit. A goldmine of inspiration for sculptural and conversation-starting lighting pieces that work beautifully in the high ceilings many Valley Village properties offer.
  • David Homami Meyer on Pico Blvd: Our trusted source for premium plumbing and hardware finishes. Whether we're hunting for a statement faucet for a mid-century powder room or specialty tile for a primary bath suite, David’s shop delivers top-tier service and selection.
  • Garde on Beverly Blvd: Beautiful, curated home accessories, frequently featured in our installs. Think heirloom-quality vessels, Belgian marble trays, and minimalist Czech lighting—deceptively simple details that pull everything together.

Neighborhoods & Sub-Regions We Serve

Within Valley Village, we often work in neighborhoods near Chandler Estates, the Laurel Grove area, Magnolia Blvd, and Colfax Meadows. These pockets carry big design potential with walkable streets, iconic SoCal architecture, and a blend of established and emerging homeowners. Our Process

Every Valley Village project starts with the home's existing character — what's worth keeping, what needs updating, and how the household actually lives day to day. From there we move through space planning, finish selection, procurement, and installation, managing every trade and vendor throughout.
