West Palm Beach

Interior Design for West Palm Beach Homes

West Palm Beach sits on the mainland side of the Intracoastal Waterway, directly across the water from Palm Beach island. It's the county seat and a very different place: more varied, more urban, and changing quickly, with waterfront towers along Flagler Drive, historic neighborhoods nearby, and new construction throughout.

JAC Interiors designs residential interiors across Palm Beach County as part of our South Florida practice, and West Palm Beach is one of the markets we serve alongside Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Delray Beach.

The West Palm Beach Aesthetic

Housing here spans several eras. Historic neighborhoods such as El Cid and Northwood have 1920s Mediterranean Revival and Spanish-style homes with arched openings, tile, and plaster walls, while the waterfront and downtown skew toward modern condominiums with floor-to-ceiling glass and open plans. These call for very different approaches, and both reward careful editing.

The palette across the city tends to be light and coastal, shaped by strong sun and water views. In the historic homes we lean on warm plaster, handmade tile, and natural wood; in the high-rises, on clean planning, quiet materials, and furniture scaled to the views.

Condos, Bungalows, and New Builds

Condo projects come with their own requirements: building rules for deliveries and contractor hours, elevator reservations, and limits on noise and work times. We plan around these from day one so a renovation or full furnishing install runs smoothly.

For historic homes, the work is often about respecting the architecture while making the house function for how people live now, with updated kitchens and baths, better storage, and lighting that suits the original details.

Designing in West Palm Beach

We start with the household, the building, and the budget, and design from there. Read about what full-service design includes or explore our residential design service.

If you keep homes in more than one city, we can coordinate across locations, including Los Angeles and elsewhere in South Florida, so the design stays consistent from home to home.
