Highland demanded sensitivity as much as creativity. Situated in the historic Hancock Park neighborhood, this residence carried architectural integrity that we were committed to preserving while thoughtfully modernizing every layer beneath it. The full remodel addressed both form and function, integrating a double kosher kitchen seamlessly into the home’s footprint and adding en suite bathrooms to each bedroom for contemporary comfort. Underutilized spaces were reconsidered with intention, including transforming a closet beneath the staircase into a beautifully detailed powder room. Rather than impose a new identity, the design enhances what was already there, refining proportion, flow, and livability. The home now feels revitalized and highly functional while still honoring the character that gives historic properties their enduring charm.
