Redondo Beach Interior Design Services

At JAC Interiors, we know that great design in Redondo Beach doesn’t just look beautiful, it has to work effortlessly with the coastal lifestyle, salty breezes, and all that year-round sunshine. Whether you’re sipping an espresso in the Riviera Village, entertaining out-of-town guests near Redondo Pier, or seeking a serene escape after a long surf session, your home should reflect your rhythm and style.

Founded by Andrea Putman and Christine Thompson — both trained at LA's Otis School of Art and Design — JAC Interiors is a Los Angeles-based luxury interior design studio offering full-service interior and design-build solutions. With a Westside clientele that spans from Santa Monica to Palos Verdes, we’ve cultivated an authentic, insider approach that blends livable luxury with personalized service.

And if you live anywhere near Avenue A or atop the cliffside streets of The Avenues, you already know — light hits differently here. Our team’s deep understanding of coastal lighting, open-plan flow, and the importance of indoor-outdoor living allows us to tailor stunning interiors that also feel intuitive and laid-back. It’s what we call high-vibe design — rooted in lifestyle, elevated by artistry.

The Redondo Beach Aesthetic

Redondo Beach homes run the full range — original 1950s bungalows on Knob Hill, bluffside contemporaries with sweeping ocean views, and everything in between along The Avenues and near the Esplanade. What connects them is the setting: sea air, strong coastal light, and a lifestyle that leans casual without sacrificing quality.

We design for that specific tension between relaxed and refined. White oak floors, honed limestone surfaces, performance fabrics that can handle a beach-town household. Color palettes tend toward the muted and coastal — sandy neutrals, warm whites, soft blues — with moments of texture and artisan craft that give each space its personality.

Designing in Redondo Beach

We Think Like Locals

Whether your mid-century home on Knob Hill is begging for a fresh take or you’re starting from scratch on a bluffside build with ocean views, we consider how your space will interact with sea air, shifting daylight, and open coastal architecture.

Not Your Cookie-Cutter Designer

Each project we create is deeply custom. Inspired by our experiences across Redondo’s diverse architecture — from California bungalows to beachside townhomes — we blend form, function, and refined West Coast materials. Think white oak, honed limestone, and coastal contemporary palettes that truly belong here.

Seamless Project Management

Our team handles every step — from permits to tile installs — with transparency and drive. We’re proud of our efficient coordination with architects, builders, and tradespeople along the South Bay.

Experience Meets Enjoyment

Designing your Redondo Beach home should be as fun as the lifestyle that comes with it. We promise a collaborative, boutique process that feels more like co-creating a vibe than ticking boxes. (Coconut-scented candles not required — but encouraged.)

Coastal Light Specialists

Few places rival a Redondo Beach sunrise, and the interiors we design make room for all that magic. We understand how to enhance natural light while mitigating glare or fading — with thoughtful use of textiles, UV-filtering window treatments, layered lighting, and tonal balance.

Local Resources & Collaborators

Our curated designs draw from some of LA’s most stylish vendor relationships and Redondo Beach insider spots.

For lighting with coastal elegance, we love Hudson Valley Lighting’s showroom offerings, often found through our trade-only relationship with Thomas Lavin. Their offerings bring sculptural impact while staying true to a neutral, breezy landscape. For tile and surfaces, we regularly source from Ann Sacks and Artistic Tile — nothing brings a Redondo Beach powder bath to life like a statement wall in handmade zellige.

And when it comes to fixtures, we’ve had great success working with Ferguson Showrooms in Torrance, their plumbing and appliance collection is expansive and perfectly suited to our Westside projects.

From the curated shelves of Upstairs Gallery for vintage coastal art, to the custom upholstery work from our trusted LA furniture makers, every detail we select is intentional and unique to your space.

Neighborhoods & Sub-Regions We Serve

Whether you’re nestled in The Avenues, near the Esplanade, or tucked into a hillside Mediterranean overlooking the marina, we offer tailored luxury interior design throughout Redondo Beach and surrounding areas. We also design spaces across the South Bay, including neighboring communities like Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes Estates, and Manhattan Beach.

Project Highlights

Venice Beach House: Elevated Coastal Color

This Venice Beach townhouse moves beyond traditional coastal clichés — we created a "grown up" look by adapting our client's favorite color palettes to create a house as unique as their personalities. The design features a double-height art gallery wall curated from their treasured art collection and a custom floating media console that doubles as a wine bar and measures almost 20 feet long. See the project.

Venice Boho House: A Coastal Story

We collaborated with the developer and homeowner to create a custom-built home with a boho-chic modern farmhouse style. Bespoke touches include a hand-selected matte fireplace slab and one-off lighting pieces that bring a true Southern California vibe to life. The property maximizes every inch with a pool, pool house, outdoor firepit, and outdoor kitchen. See the project.

Santa Monica Modern Spanish: Classic Meets Contemporary

We modernized the interior while preserving original period elements — the leaded pane window in the front living room and handsome Pewabic tiles around the fireplace. The design brought the outdoors inside through texture and color, with artisan touches that feel fresh while nodding to the home's history. See the project.
